Simplified municipal general plan

Not every municipality needs a full general plan. The simplified route allows a council to adopt its own general plan with documentation proportionate to the size and dynamics of the municipality, at a much lower cost and in much less time.

What's included

• Prior check that the municipality qualifies for the simplified route.
• Report, regulations and land use drawings adapted to the simplified content.
• Strategic environmental assessment proportionate to the scope of the plan.
• Regulation of non-developable land and of the historic centre.
• Public participation adapted to the municipal scale.
• Processing through to final approval.

When you need it

• The municipality is small and has no general plan of its own.
• The subsidiary rules in force have become obsolete.
• Growth needs to be planned without the documentary burden of a full general plan.

We first confirm that the municipality meets the requirements; if it does not, we tell you before starting. Article 57.3 of the Catalan planning act.
